Hello, my name is Gleb, I'm 19 years old and this year I finish school. I have a severe form of cerebral palsy, but I always really wanted to become an athlete! Once I learned about American runners, Dick and Rick Hoyt. Rick has cerebral palsy, but he participates in famous cross-country marathons, along with Pope Dick. During the races, the father rolls a wheelchair in front of him with his son. The idea inspired me, and thanks to the amateur sportsman Vadim Zelensky, my dream will become a reality: in May 2017 I participated in the Green Marathon Running Hearts! We are already practicing and we will definitely pass the entire distance! Having started to study, I understood how I began to differ from my friends with disabilities. They helped me, but how many people like me can never join the sport? I want to raise money for specialized tricycles with a foot drive for children with disabilities, including those with cerebral palsy, to transfer to my native boarding school No. 31 in Moscow. And then my friends can lead an active lifestyle and play sports, regardless of physical characteristics! Vadim Zelensky has been running for many years and even created the club Zelenski Run Club. Within its framework, the project "More than you can." Participants and coaches help people with disabilities, in spite of the circumstances, achieve sports goals. I believe that thanks to "More Than You Can" and the support of the Sport for Life Foundation, I will not only take part in the race for the first time, but I will also raise money for special bicycles for the school.
